The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers financial support for Australians who have permanent and significant disability. The scheme gives people with a “permanent and significant” disability under the age of 65 funding for support needs related to their disability. It is not means tested.

The NDIS can also provide all people with disability with information and connections to services in their communities, like doctors, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools. It also proves information about what support is provided by each state and territory government. To discuss your eligibility, speak to your GP.
