What is trichomoniasis?
Trichomoniasis (also known as trich) is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI). It is caused by a parasite. You can pass on this STI during unprotected sex or from sharing a damp towel. The best way to prevent it is by having safe sex. If you have trich, you should tell all of your current and recent sexual partners. This helps to stop the infection from spreading to other people. Your GP will let you know how long to avoid sexual contact with anyone. They will also recommend the right treatment.
