Follow up with your care team is best after treatment for breast cancer. They will check whether breast cancer has come back, observe side effects of treatment and provide support.
Follow-up after treatment for breast cancer includes physical checkups e.g. mammogram or an ultrasound. This is best done before your follow-up appointment, so you can discuss the results with your GP. If these show an abnormal area, you might need further imaging tests and a biopsy.
