What is Hay fever?
Hay fever also known as allergic rhinitis is an allergic reaction that happens when your immune system responds allergens. It is very common and affects 1 in 5 adults in Australia. Symptoms include:

feeling like you have a cold that wont go away
It can affect quality of life, sleep, concentration, learning, work and daily life.
It may be caused by airborne particles such as pollen, grass, weeds (seasonal) or indoor dust mites, pets or pests
You may experience hay fever symptoms during certain times of the year (such as in spring or summer). Seasonal hay fever is usually caused by pollen. If you have hay fever throughout the year, it is likely to be caused by an allergen that is in the environment such as dust.
