Khái niệm chung

Pterygium is a fleshy overgrowth on the surface of the eye. It is common and can affect one or both of your eyes. In rare cases, it may grow large enough to affect the vision. If you have a pterygium, you may experience mild pain, redness, itching or burning, impaired vision or excessive tearing. Your GP will ask you about your symptoms and test your vision. Simple things you can do to manage your symptoms include wearing a hat and sunglasses to minimise UV exposure and using a lubricant to help with irritation and redness.
