What is an unsettled baby?
It is very common for a baby to cry a lot during the first 12 months. This is normal and is usually not serious. Sometimes there is a medical reason for a baby’s crying. A baby is unsettled when it cries for no reason, for more than 3 hours a day, for more than 3 days a week, for more than 3 weeks. Sometimes a baby can be unsettled even if it does not meet those criteria.
