Torticollis is a when a baby has its head is tilted to one side. It is usually noticeable during the first month of life.
It is usually due to shortening of a muscle in the neck. This can happen while the baby is growing in the mother's stomach, due to positioning, or due to birth trauma.
Almost all babies will improve with treatment including stretching exercises at home, positioning advice, and physiotherapy.
