What is chronic fatigue?
Chronic fatigue syndrome (myalgic encephalitis) is a chronic disease that can affect many of the bodies systems. In most people it is a lifelong illness. People with chronic fatigue syndrome are not able to function the same way they did before they became ill. The cause is not fully known and there is no cure yet. Symptoms may include muscle weakness, pain, flu-like symptoms, weight change and sensitivities. Most people with chronic fatigue also experience brain fog and trouble sleeping.
Pacing and rest can help to lessen your symptoms. Pacing is not doing too much exercise or other movements, so you don't wear yourself out. You should also take a lot of time to rest to balance your energy levels.
